Editorial standards
How we write, and how you can check it.
The 14 articles on the blog and the 3 long guides are written by Brabham Quality Heating and Air, from the work our technicians do every day. These are the rules they follow.
Who writes them
Brabham Quality Heating and Air is family-owned, in Savannah since 1997, a Trane Authorized Dealer, licensed and insured. Our technicians repair, maintain and replace heating and cooling systems across Savannah, the Coastal Empire and the South Carolina Lowcountry, and these articles come out of that work.
Articles are published under the company’s name. When a named technician has read and checked a piece, the article says so under its title, with the date they checked it — and they are listed here with their certifications.
The rules.
- 01
The answer comes first
Every article opens with the answer in two or three sentences. The sections after it are there for the reader who wants the reasons, not to hold the answer back.
- 02
Prices come from our price list
A figure in an article is read from the same published price list as the service pages, so the two cannot disagree. Prices are starting prices for standard work; the exact figure comes from a written estimate.
- 03
Outside facts are sourced
A regulation, a standard, a date or a government recommendation links to the document it came from — the EPA, the Department of Energy, the IRS, ENERGY STAR, CPSC and the trade bodies. The sources are listed at the foot of each article.
- 04
Nothing is invented about us
No made-up job counts, response times, customer stories or staff names. What the articles say about the company comes from the same confirmed facts as the rest of the site.
- 05
One page per question
An article does not compete with a symptom page or a decision tool for the same question. Where one did, it was folded into the page that already answered it, and the old address now points there.
- 06
Dates are true
“Published” is the day an article first went up. “Updated” moves only when something material changes — a new rule, a new price, a correction — not for a typo.
Found a mistake?
Tell us — call (912) 858-3737 or email us. A material correction is made in the article and its “Updated” date moves with it.
