BRABHAM HVAC

Since 1997

A family-owned heating and air company, serving the coast since 1997

For 29 years Brabham Quality Heating and Air has kept homes and businesses comfortable across Savannah, the Coastal Empire and the South Carolina Lowcountry — from a shop on Ogeechee Road, with a phone that is answered around the clock when the heat or the cooling fails.

Who we are

Brabham Quality Heating and Air is a local, family-owned HVAC contractor. We repair, maintain and replace air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductless systems and ductwork, and we fix the indoor air problems that come with living somewhere this humid. We work in homes, and in the offices, shops and restaurants that keep the area running.

The company has been doing this since 1997. That is long enough to know the neighbourhoods where the attics run hottest, the older houses where the ductwork was never sized for central air, and the waterfront streets where salt air shortens the life of an outdoor coil. That local knowledge is most of what separates a quick fix from the right one.

Being family-owned is not a slogan here; it is why the business runs the way it does. There is no franchise quota to hit and no commission on the size of the system we recommend. The reputation that has kept the phone ringing for 29 years is the thing being protected on every call.

Built around a coastal climate

Heating and cooling in the Lowcountry is a different job from heating and cooling somewhere dry. Summer here is long, the nights stay warm, and the air carries a great deal of moisture — so a system is not judged only on whether it reaches the temperature on the thermostat, but on whether the house feels dry and fresh when it does.

That shapes how we work. We look at humidity as seriously as temperature. We check the condition of outdoor coils that live in salt air. We pay attention to ductwork in hot attics and damp crawlspaces, where leaks quietly pull in the very air the system is trying to condition. And when a replacement is on the table, we size it with a proper load calculation, because the most common mistake in this climate is a system that is too big — cold, clammy and short cycling.

If you want the longer version of that argument, our guide to why a cold house can still feel clammy explains it, and bigger is not better covers sizing.

How we work

You hear the price before the work starts

A repair begins with a diagnosis. Once the technician knows what failed and why, you are told what fixing it costs — and nothing is touched until you have agreed to it. If the answer is that the repair is not worth making, you hear that too.

Replacements are measured, not guessed

A new system is sized to the house it goes into, not copied from the label on the old one. On the coast that matters more than most places: an oversized unit cools a room quickly and leaves it damp, and the humidity is what makes a Savannah summer miserable indoors.

If it is not right, we come back

We stand behind our workmanship on every repair and installation. If something is not right, call us and we will come back and make it right — no runaround. Your technician will confirm what is covered on your job before work starts.

A fair price you can check

We will meet or beat any verifiable written quote for comparable work. Comparable is the important word — same equipment class, same scope, same installation standard — which is also why we put our own estimates in writing.

A Trane Authorized Dealer

We install Trane equipment as an authorized dealer. For you, that means the equipment comes through Trane's own dealer network, and it carries Trane's manufacturer warranty — which is worth understanding before you buy, because registration makes a real difference to it.

Trane's Base Limited Warranty typically covers parts for five years. Registering the equipment within 60 days of installation upgrades it to the Registered Limited Warranty, which in most cases runs 10 years. Both cover parts that fail through a manufacturing defect, not the labor to fit them, and the length varies by product — so we back the installation with our own workmanship promise. We are not a one-brand shop when it comes to repairs. Whatever make of system you already have, we will diagnose it and tell you honestly whether it is worth keeping. Our repair-or-replace guide sets out how we think about that decision, so you can think it through before anyone visits.

The people who come to your door

The business is licensed and insured, and our technicians are background-checked. You are letting someone into your home, often while you are at work or with children in the house; that check is the least you should expect, and we do not treat it as optional.

What we ask of every technician is simple: explain what you found in words the customer can use, show them the part if they want to see it, and never recommend work the system does not need. Our senior discount promises technicians who take the time to explain the work, and that is the standard we hold for every customer, not only the ones who ask for it.

Giving something back

Savannah is a military town, and a great deal of our work is for people who serve it. We offer discounts to:

  • Military Discount. Active duty, veterans and military families receive a discount on repairs and installations. Mention it when you book.
  • Senior Discount. Seniors receive a discount on service, with priority scheduling and technicians who take the time to explain the work.
  • First Responder Discount. Police, fire and EMS receive a discount on repairs and installations. Mention it when you schedule.

Ask when you book and we will confirm what applies to your job. The details are on our financing and discounts page.
